Your love

Every night when my head touches my pillow and I try to sleep, my head gets full of mad thoughts and impossible dreams. 

Every night when I go to bed and I close my eyes, my head tells me everything that is going wrong, everything that is not at its place, everything that I am starting to believe won't get better.

But Your love comes in and makes it all go away, and when the darkness is able to stay a little bit longer and I lose my sense of wonder, those nights are the ones when I can't sleep, insomnia comes in and my head goes around and around, thinking of things it shouldn't think. But when the day comes, with all its light, I am able to see again Your work in my life through my eyes. 

But the best time is not when everything is okay, isn't when I can say that I'm happy or when I can close my eyes at night and I can sleep well and wake up the next day doing well. 

The best time in life is when I have all the strength to pass all problems, all things in a day and still be able to low my head in the pillow and be able to sleep, after telling myself, even if I don't believe at the time, that everything will be okay, everything will get better. The best in life is the time when I am in the middle of chaos and I am still able to keep my head up and follow. The best time in life is the time when I am not okay but I start believing that everything will, eventually, get better. 

That strength comes from Your love and grace, You are the one that puts me to sleep every night, the One that embraces me and keeps me in Your arms. And I know that if one day, I feel alone, feel like I have no one to comfort me like as happened before, I will have You and Your lap, where I will always be welcome to cry, laugh or rest.
